Samsung to sue Apple if iPhone 5 has LTE

Samsung was at the losing end of the last battle with Apple, but the war seems to be far from over. Samsung has laid a threat down to Apple that if the next iPhone has LTE than they will sue them.

It's no secret that everyone wants their devices to have LTE technology inside, why carry 3G radios when everyone else has 4G? Samsung currently owns 10% of the patents that surround LTE technology. It is to be expected that the next iPhone will have LTE, as The New iPad has already.

Most of the LTE patents will likely fall under FRAND standards, and Samsung probably won't rebound much from the last fight with Apple. Maybe they have a few patents in there that could make a difference. Even with Apple's "Steel Shield enchanted with Patent Immunity," hopefully someone can bring balance to the force.
